I was prompted to design a poster triptych that would encourage people to vote. Just in time, Korea was facing its 20th General Election, so I decided to work on the topic. While designing, I heavily focused on making the poster as simplistic and intuitive to the viewers. I first picked three symbolic figures that would best represent the act of “voting” in Korea – Stamp, Hand and the Korean stamp mark. I positioned three symbols onto each parts of the poster, and with help of red and cyan color palette, maximized the boldness and legibility. Then I worked carefully on the typography, concerning about hierarchy of suggested information and flow of viewer’s sight.
